This course has always been fun to play and can be challenging as well. I am now taking my son as he is old enough to play this course and he also enjoys it. Try it one time it is definitely worth it.

Have reviewed the course before, and those comments still stand. However, our group of travelling seniors played here 10-15-13 and the course was absolutely sparkling. Recent rains have greened everything up, and the grounds staff is doing a terrific job keeping things in top form, despite fairly heavy play. Today's conditions were almost country-club. Attaboy GV Greenskeepers! We highly recommend!!

As an member I might like it more then some others. This year with the new ownership the course has dramatically changed a great deal as to improvements. I, as well as other members, has had to adapt to the new shape(speed) of the greens. Whereas I have had a round of 25 putts so far this year my lowest is 31. Practice makes better. I have invited in laws to play and they have liked it.

Glade Valley Golf Club has a nicely designed and challenging course that is well maintained and yet very reasonably priced. I play at Glade Valley much more often than other courses in the immediate area.

I play GV about six times/year, most recently 9-12-08. Layout is pretty FLAT: not a serious hill in sight, which, of course, makes it very walkable. Having said that, it's still an interesting course, and has its challenging holes, notably #13 and #14, as a previous rater mentioned. #7 and #14 also feature tee shots through a chute of trees, which can be daunting if your driver isn't behaving itself. Otherwise, it's pretty straightforward, and pretty much wide open. Tee boxes are in good shape for September; fairways are very good, with generous landing areas. Bunkers are not in great shape, being thin and very firm. Greens are medium sized, most are not heavily contoured, and generally putt medium slow. Course gets a lot of outings and MSGA events, so call ahead before showing up to play. "Clubhouse" is pretty basic, in the lower level of an old barn, and not worth a lot of time or attention. Staff has always been friendly and welcoming. The course just changed ownership about ten days ago, so there may be some changes forthcoming, but one hopes not. GV is a nice, friendly course, with a neighborhood" kind of feel to it. It is also not the easiest place to find, so make sure you have directions before setting out. I recommend it.

Glade Valley is our favorite local course. It is a great course to walk. Layout is nice and they keep it in very good condition. Staff are always friendly.

For this time of the year and considering the lack of rain this year (drought) the condition of this course weas excellent. If you slice there is not much trouble but for a couple of holes. Be sure to practice your putting before starting. The greens may be slow or fast depending on whether they were cut recently. Look out for water: On the right - hole 13 par 3. On the left - hole 14 par 4. For the 14th hole try to stay to the right on your drive. The green is narrow and balls will kick to the water on the left. Some of the yardage seems a bit off. (This is for those who know fairly well the distance of their short irons.) It took me a while to get used to the approach to the greens. Bring you bump and run game. All my friends who have played this for the first time have returned numberous time.

Just go on line and find the specials they offer. For most of the summer you could play for $25 and get two cold drinks at the 19th hole On sunday $35 not a bad price for the working man
